The wise I asked the other day, to let me know

How he succeeded in making his mind glisten?

"The secret of being sagacious," He told me,

"Is not to talk much, but to learn how to listen!"

It was an incredibly wise and superbly written quatrain, and I believe that this advice holds the key to success because we consistently want to talk rather than listen.
