Leaking You

Sometimes is it is the smallest detail
The inconspicuous that gives it away
The wrinkle at the corner of your eye
The slight curl on your lip
The altered tone in your voice
You try to hold it in
Keep the secret safe within
But your body betrays you
Leaking signs
That contradict your conversation
Some may overlook
Others adept at perception
Will notice each incongruence
And turn it into an opportunity
To better match their offering
Consciously or unconsciously
Morphing their responses
To better suit your mood
And receptivity
With consumate ease
The dance of persuasion
A naked truth
Your cues beyond words
Leading your conclusion
Unknowingly
Unwittingly
The silent clues you broadcast
Responsible for your fate

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
