Leaf Life

A bud on a tree is a sign of spring
A sign of all of the new life it brings
A symbol of hope and so much beauty
A sign of spring is a bud on a tree

Through the hot summer days the leaves will grow
Soon to prepare for the upcoming snow
Soak in the warmth of the summer sun rays
The leaves will grow through the hot summer days

Leaves true colors are shown through days of fall
Take turns falling till there's none left at all
Each year it happens when leaves are full grown
Through days of fall leaves true colors are shown

Come winter season the tree limbs are bare
Standing there alone in the crisp, cold air
How it all works, I don't know the reason
The tree limbs are bare come winter season

Again the buds reappear when spring comes
So full of life, each spring nature becomes
The cycle goes on each and every year
When spring comes, again the buds reappear
