Lead By the Heart

I set sail upon the moody torrid seas
As waves crashed upon my vessel’s bow
My guiding light’s your face, my dear
As you, I’ll reach, for this I vow

Without a map, nor a charted course
No compass guides my wheel to stern
It is my heart holding direction near
For your image doth guide my every turn

Your whispered breath is the breeze that blows
For it carries my vessel, through winded sail
Guide me, oh siren, let me hear your song
Despite greatest of squalls, I shall prevail

Then upon your shores, my vessel be
Solid or shattered, I shall reach your sand
Thank you then for guiding me, I shall
Reach to you, only with my open hand

Then take it dear lady, t’is meant for thee
No gift can I give other then from my heart
For the seas are mighty, yet I never lost
The gift within me that I now impart

This is beautiful Michael. It falls softly on the ear, beautiful flow and the story line so full of yearning. Very well written. Regards Heidie
