Lazy Summer

The water looks lovely but deep,
Just to paddle I maybe could creep,
But alone on the beach,
For the sea I can’t reach,
Cos I’d just rather lie here and sleep.

I’ll put up a sign “do not disturb”,
My laziness ought I to curb?
I can dream up some plans,
For some exploring fans,
But adventure’s a noun, not a verb!

Richard, congratulations for your placement in my contest. Could have been placed higher but for missing date. Best. Mohan.
