Lay It Down

Not sure what I'm doing here tonight.
Seems like all we ever do is fight.
And I'm too tired to argue 'til the coming of the light
Won't you lay it down and let it go...

Things have changed from what they used to be.
But I can't say, was it you or me?
And I'm no Sherlock Holmes, can't untie this mystery
Won't you lay it down and let it go...

Here we are still trying hard to win.
Both of us the losers in the end.
And the same old tired arguments keep coming 'round again
Won't you lay it down and let it go...

		Lay it down...
		Let it go...
We keep fighting toe to toe.
		Where it'll end
		We'll never know.
So, lay it down and let it go...
