Laughter Delights
Love-filled mirth of great jubilant feeling
Affirming radiant merriment’s glee
Uplifting mood as response to humor...
Glad gestures released by brain’s endorphins
Heighten sound production of “ha-ha-ha…”
Triumphantly propelling eyes to glow
Exercising facial muscles with bliss
Relieving pain, rejuvenating soul!
De-stressing joy’s laughter* is a blessing
Empowering midst discomfort’s sorrow
Lowering blood pressure as medicine…
Immune system-boost is happiness’ gift
Gives body mini-aerobic work-out
Helps health’s resistance toward infection
Turning gloom to hearty contagious thrill
Sets faith for jubilant thanksgiving to God!

Acrostic with Blank Verse

Sheer glee is what this poem evokes, with thanksgiving joy to the Source of genuine gladness, the God of blessings. I kept on smiling while writing this, and it is my prayer that anyone who reads it would feel delighted, and be grateful to the Lord likewise.
