Laughing Pines, Part Two

Will you, won’t you join the dance, We like to dance here every night, Moving slowly at the speed of light. Won’t you give yourself half a chance, Even two left feet are alright. The Bipolar Coaster is an excellent ride, But it does have its ups and downs. If you feel low or are feeling a bit manic, You’ll come off of this ride in a jovial panic, Floating two feet above the ground. The Jersey Devil sometimes appears at night, And tonight, he may pay us a visit. He usually appears by the full moon’s light. Some say he’s really the devil, but he’s alright, They say it’s just a myth or is it? And in not a moment too soon A friend of ours will make an appearance Under the light of the shining full moon Making his eternal debut, Tutankhamun He will be debating the Hittite king and friends We’re a fav amongst the “different” community. They give us five-star reviews. They lounge around the pool with total immunity. They like to come here for a rest in complete impunity. From mental sickness prejudice and other skewed up views. Regardless of your race, color, religion or creed. All are welcome to share some weed Come on in and you will find. The welcoming committee on high is just honky dory fine. We also cater to mental and physical needs. Here at Laughing Pines Fine Dining/Store We’re a five-star restaurant and thrift shop We cater to whatever you’re pining for We even have real silver ware and finger bowls for sure Get a fine meal and some souvenirs all in one stop. Come to the café and have a latte, espresso or cup of coffee Or an English tea biscuit and a cuppa or two hundred Take off your shoes and rest your tired aching feet Come dressed as you are as long as you’re looking neat Your barista serving you will be Mildred. Here at Laughing Pines we’re also friendly to pets Save the whales, wolves, tigers and elephants. Bring your cat, ferret or dog, Or bring your bird, lizard or frog. We have whatever they need or want. Don’t leave them at home or in the pound or they’ll get upset. On stage left we have the dancing clown Replete with black suite, bow tie, top hat and cane On stage right we have a mystery afoot now Complete with a lesson in history en-how We love the old, ancient and the arcane The clown will do any dance requested. And sing a song or twenty-two. He’ll even dance with any one game. He just don’t dance disco, that’s too outdated and lame. But he’ll dance jazz, tap, funk, rock-n-roll and soft shoe. This Autumn we’re having our International Gothic Festival of Poetry Devine. We’ll be holding it under the two hundred year old twisted oak tree. The featured poet this week is Edgar Allan Poe, a very good friend of mine. The interesting thing is, is he died in eighteen forty-nine. He’ll be reading The Raven and other favorites of his macabre poetry. There’s an eerily pleasant experience you can feel down deep in your bones. If you can make the time and you’re feeling a bit mellow, Take a stroll through the old cemetery alone. Amongst the ancient crosses and greying head stones. It will definitely lift your spirits my fine fellow. You will surely want to take along a fine bottle of wine. So you can offer a toast to the ghostly cast. The graves, head stones and crosses are all covered in vines. But the resting dead don’t really seem to mind. It’s best to toast the dead at midnight or at the latest half past. If for some strange reason you didn’t enjoy your stay, Please don’t go away mad, Pack up your things and just go away. We don’t need you any way. Much better customers we have always had. When your stay is done and you’re checking out, Don’t forget to leave a review. Every customer has a lot of clout. It will help with our ratings no doubt. We like to hear every point of view. If you are going on holiday down to the seaside, Don’t forget to stay at Laughing Pines. The ocean is only a very short ride. You and the kiddies can play in the rolling tide. But watch out for sharks, in the deep water they hide We hope you enjoyed your stay and had a very good time. If ever you come back this way, remember to stay at Laughing Pines again. The lodge next to the big oak tree, by the sea in the middle of the Pine barrens. Where lots of fun and a jolly good time are always had by all inside. Ya’ll come back now ya here my friends, and have a safe ride!
