Laughable Experience

"Listen my children and you shall hear"
Of a laughable experience happened this year
Dressed and ready everything near
Load arms, walk out door without fear

Put all parcels in back seat of car
Glance around see left front door ajar
Slam car door try to move but skirt caught
Keys locked in car_there's front door afar

Thinking swiftly what will really work
Keys in car_front door ajar_trapped
Look around not a soul to laugh with smirk
Unfasten my skirt_dash for the door like one snapped

Only in my sheer underwear and shirt
Praying please, "Ghost of the wind don't move_
And touch that door gently blowing it closed"
Running like the wind just made it my friend...

(This did not happen to me..
I was reading about someone
who this happened to so I can
not take credit for the idea..)

(First line is a quote from "Midnight
Ride Of Paul Revere"...

Yeow! Not the 'Midnight Ride", but still a race with a happily breathless ending. This is an experience that might resemble those of others? (I look around sheepishly). Thank you for this smile, Sara! Wishing you the best, Mikki

Oh, this is so funny, Sara! I could just picture it happening. How embarrassing for the poor woman, but she handled it well. Glad it wasn't based on personal experience. You gave me a great laugh! Thanks, love, Carolyn
