Lath Work In the Walls

Moths and flames their shadows dancing
Lighted candles with dinner at eight,
Alive music in the parlor from a box.
A few crickets on the lawn as sleep nears.
Jumping,
Spotted puppies amid cats in the yard
DOES NOT COMPARE
    To the warmth of
              FRIENDS.

Thank you. I'm have no idea why I titled it the way I did. May have been because I was looking at the wall in a "building" sort of way
