Late-Summer Flowers For Your Birthday

I want to send beautiful late-summer flowers
To you, my sassy friend, for your birthday
And I wish I could also send fresh springtime kisses
Straight to your heart, for this special day.

You and I used to look at another without uttering
A word, smiling innocently all the while at each other
That was then, I realized that at the end of late spring
Words possess insufficient stamina, strength and vigor.

Yet, a smile is a powerful tool which can camouflage
The deep inner feelings of the heart. At our age
We cannot be careless to hold forth or to talk
To write or reveal the tenderness that remains so pure and raw.

Today is your special day
I cannot sleep. I can simply think of you
Imagine things and dream of you
On your birthday.

This life is full of kisses and surprises
And this great season overflows with flowers
Since my heart has neither words nor lips,
I can only dream and send you modest tips.

I am not infatuated, yet I’m drowning in love
I express powerful inner feelings
In my own way. My heart abounds with tender love
And wherever you are, you’re not aware of things.

For your magnificent day
I want to plant thousands of springtime kisses
Upon your cheeks. For your beautiful birthday
You deserve nothing less than splendid late-summer flowers.

Flores De Finales De Verano Para Tu Cumpleaños

Quiero enviar hermosas flores de finales de verano
A ti, mi querida amiga, por tu cumpleaños
Y ojalá pudiera enviarte también besos frescos de primavera
Directos a tu corazón, en este día tan especial.

Tú y yo solíamos mirarnos sin decir
Una palabra, sonriéndonos inocentemente
Fue entonces cuando me di cuenta de que, al final de la primavera
Las palabras carecen del vigor, de la resistencia y de la fuerza.

Sin embargo, una sonrisa es una herramienta poderosa que puede camuflar
Los profundos sentimientos del corazón. A nuestra edad
No podemos ser descuidados al expresarnos o hablar
Al escribir o revelar la ternura que permanece tan viva y pura.

Hoy es tu día especial, es maravilloso
No puedo dormir. Solo puedo pensar en ti
Imagino cosas y sueño contigo
En tu cumpleaños.

Esta vida está llena de besos y sorpresas
Y esta hermosa estación rebosa de flores
Como mi corazón no tiene miedo, ni labios y ni palabras 
Solo puedo soñar y enviarte modestas propinas.

No estoy loco, pero me ahogo en amor
Expreso sentimientos muy intensos
A mi manera. Mi corazón rebosa de tierno amor
Y dondequiera que estés, ignoras el bullicio y las olas.

Para este día extraordinario
Quiero plantar miles de besos primaverales
En tus mejillas. Para tu hermoso cumpleaños
No mereces menos que espléndidas flores de finales de verano.
