Late Sleeper

morning sun intrudes through my bedroom window shade before alarm sounds does it know something I don’t? like missing the early worm?

I rarely stay up after 10 p.m. Then I'm up between 3 and 4 p.m. (that's when my dog licks my face to let me know his bladder needs emptying. I often stay up after that, check the news, edit my poems or write new ones if an idea comes to mind. I average 5 to 6 hours nightly with no bad side affects. It works for me. / Maurice

Wow, I wish I could do that. If I don't get a minimum of 8 hours, I'm a mess the next day. If I get 9, I am happier, still.

We have black out drapes at our house Hank; they make the sun much less annoying because she cannot get through them.

That's what I need to find...some blackout drapes. I've tried everything, but I can't get the blinds to close tightly enough to shut out the morning sun. It really IS annoying.

Thank you, Gina. My fervent prayer for everyone is that someday they may retire and sleep as long as they like!

Arthur, I generally don't get up until 9:30 or 10:00 am. I stay up late at nights. I've tried to adjust the shade, but the sun is rather persistent.
