Late Bus

Cloud released from my mouth
its cold this morning and I forgot my gloves
half a mile down the road
I know exactly where they are
on my counter... waiting
early depart for a late bus
I knew it would be late but I left early anyway
thats why I forgot them
I look back down the hill
hoping to see the late bus come along, but
accident on the road instead
it happened right behind me
no one hurt
thank god
blown tire, car dive into street light
were I would've been standing
if I left on time
good thing I forgot my gloves
