Not afraid of rejections

I walked a path
Kept looking ahead
I was looking for a signal instead
Should I follow
Should I lead
What could I do to succeed
What if it didn't work out
Could I say I've tried
What if like a rose It would have died
Lasting impressions
Not afraid of rejections
Keeping my guard up
Need that protection
When you first saw me
What did you think ?
You were just staring
You didn't even blink
You were looking deeper
Wonder was that making me weaker
Like a bird with a beaker
Like a swifter you're a sweeper
I think with you
Your a keeper
Then I stopped
And blocked it
Protecting my guard
Because when I let it down
I love to hard
Love to hard
I got to be smart
And learn
That everyday is new
And neither one of us is perfect boo
