Last Year

I see the subtle way she looks at me,
Her soft kind eyes put me in a trance.
With her flirty smile so carefree;
it beckons me to come and take a chance.

Her eyes are deep like the ocean blue
Her hair smells like the greatest rose flower
Faithful to her I stay so good and true
You possess me with the strongest power

But they are all just bitter memory
You broke the trust I held for you my dear
You left my mind its greatest enemy
Hard to believe it has been since last year

And now I am left in thought all alone
My torn up heart shall turn to bitter stone
