Last Rest

A tear is shed.
A voice heard only by the wind.
As light as a feather.
But soft and smooth,
As a wave on the sea

One love has fallen the eternal.
As gentle as rain.
A harsh deadly pain.
Watch as they lay in their eternal rest.

Hearts beat with deep sorrow.
Pain shed today is forgotten tomorrow.
Pain like your heart,at the time, is shredded.
But in the end the journey's the test.
As they lay for their last rest.

Welcome to PoetrySoup Michael. I know this is a late welcome but, I have had some very pressing matters going on. I hope to be back and at full speed in the next week or so. Until then please keep writing and sharing your poetry. Love, Carol
