Notes About The Poem

Hi everyone, here are many of the poems I have published in my book called "Last Notes", which mimics the title of this poem. I enjoyed writing this piece.

Last Notes of Tones

Fingers danced, a melody untold,
A bass sound, a promise to unfold.

Special tones, a language of the heart,
Thumping pitches, a passionate start.

Brief records, a love story cast,
From cries of the soul, a message unsurpassed.

Past the mind, a whisper so true,
Straight to the heart, where love’s promises accrue.

Bass sounds hummed a constant refrain,
Preserved melodies echoed through the rain.

I love you, the notes whispered in the breeze,
I love you, a love that would never appease.

Last notes of tones, fading into the night,
But the echo remained, a burning light.

I love you, a promise whispered true,
A bass sound, with preserved melody,

I love you,
I love you.

A symphony of silence, please untold,
Melodies yearn to break free and unfold.

Bass sound, a promise to keep,
Preserved melodies, love’s whispers sleep.

Special tones, shapes in the air,
Language only two hearts can share.

Thumping pitches, a rhythmic retreat,
Promises whispered, never to be beaten.

From the soul’s cries, music takes flight,
Human voices pierce through the night.

Bass sounds hummed, a constant refrain,
Preserved melodies whisper through the rain.

I love you, the notes softly sing,
I love you, a love on the wing.

Last notes fade, a promise held so true,
I love you, whispered anew.

I love you,
I love you,

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

I read and enjoyed all your inspiring couplets. When it comes to rhyming, you're shining! from your poetic cistern, continue to fill us up, overflowing our poetic cup: sipping from its saucer, will continue to nourish us with the flow coming from you, in the rhyming canvassing coming from you. What I want you to know is that this rhyming feedback is from your flow. Peace and Love, Millard Lowe.

Kissie, As I was reading, I couldn't help but hear a piano in the background. I could feel the physical vibrations and how it transformed into a spiritual language that communicates directly with the heart. There is nothing better than love, both ways. Well Done! - Chris

I listened to the song and it was really good. I could envision you on a stage in a nice night club sing it. Wow!

Thank you so much for your response. I have actually set this poem to music on my website. U created your own jazz-like feature, with a voice singing the lyrics. Check it out: www.kbliteraryworks.com Thank you again
