Last Night I Dreamt of Heaven
Last night I dreamt of heaven
With you by my side
Why did they take you?
Oh why did they take you?
Taken from me too early
Stirring up such sad feelings
I’m thinking of you daily
You were always the one to save me
You were so full of understanding
Your hugs had so much healing
Always honest with your sweet voice
Where you always gave a choice
So you’re now gone with no warning
And time is just not healing
I’m left feeling like God hates me
For taking you, it frustrates me
My heart is still left sinking
Now every minute I’m left thinking
For you many tears drop my eyes
Now only the skies hear my cries
Last night I dreamt of heaven
