Last Night He Laughed
Last night, just last night
He stared out of his window and up into the stygian sky
In the darkness, there were glints of light sparsely throughout
In the stillness, his mind started to run
But his heart was still and cold as the night
With flashbacks of smiling faces that tell lies
His precarious mind continued to race to no end
Then a lonely tear started to escape the corner of his eye
He wanted to let it go but this time he couldn't
But why?
Maybe because he had cried many times over the previous days and weeks
A man crying?......
Men don't cry
Unless he's felt the insidious 'Kiss of Judas'
But last night he didn't cry
Instead, he laughed
Last night, just last night he shook his head and laughed
