Last Night

Last night...

I was just about to hit the sack
when my wall said, "I'm about to crack.
I might need some plaster
to prevent untold disaster."

I said...

"Your problems are mere window dressing.
Mine are much more pressing.
We're all stretched a little thin.
Suck in your gut and lift up your chin."

A good poem hitting home. I hate cracks in ceilings and walls.

Right, I didn't even think about that...that's what a plastic surgeon does!

The wall stood up, it didn’t crack, must be the best luck you’ve ever had… Beryl
