Last Moments in Time
Those times when you were late,
As the seconds ticked by,
I relied on you to save me,
You let me down and
When I looked into your eyes,
I could finally see the pain through your tears.
Don't worry, baby,
It's my time, it's always been my time.
You know it, and I know it.
You can't stop it.
You can't save me.
It doesn't matter if you were late,
Only that you are here with me,
On this day, at this time,
That you came even when others didn't.
I held your hand, looking into your eyes,
As the light disappeared...
In those last moments in time,
I told you I've always loved you with all my heart,
Please don't go, don't leave me.
I can't live without you.
Your last words were...
I'll see you in your dreams.
I love you, see you in the next life.
Then the lights flickered,
Just as the life in your eyes grew dim and
You were gone.
