Last Call
Last call
Global warming
as the nature laments,
Glaciers in grief
outburst into streams of tears...
Extinction sprouts
as animals and birds cry,
Major share of resources eaten
have we turned selfish ?
Vegetation dying to
insult by chemical sprays,
Crops failing
what if no seeds left ?
Deserts till miles
as far as one can see,
Only few greens left
as if the last call ...
Have we turned a deaf ear
and a blind eye,
Captured every being
and cumulated each pie ?
Nurturing endless wants
and then take the pride,
Are we the privileged ones
or differently abled ?
Mothers killing in wombs
brothers for greed,
Souls stained in blood
humanity gives a last call ...
