Last But Not Least

Into ancient canyons
we raced
             down desert
trails
      and on into
the river
       no time to
lose
       as we
touch the
        lights of
late October
Autumn - Child
you know the
  score by now
        Catch the
moment as it
flies by
     it's propelled
by a fierce wind
     and there
    is no time to
    waste
  Last but not least
    I must inform
you
    that
         joy
comes in the
morning

Great free flow here, Mathew.....a quick flight of fancy. LOVE IT! Sorry about Shostakovic or Shostakovich, or whatever. I've played several of his Symphonies in various professional orchestas, but, unfortunately was always confused by the various spellings, especially Russian. Again, great write. Love, Daver
