Notes About The Poem

Last Blackboard - For Albert

Pray, what would heaven

               give to know the time

That we're accorded,

               mortal, thru each rhyme?

O muse the wonders

               granted one more breath,

Lost to the stars, instead,

'midst songs ... of death ...

(For Albert Einstein ... and all great minds taken from us)

Ah, lost to the stars. Nice tribute to one of the greats. I just saw the Hawking movie. It's difficult to fathom the clarity that so much mental bandwidth can afford.
