Larry the Enigma
I used a word I only heard
But didn’t known what it meant
It gave a wrong impression
In the message that was sent.
“Loose lips can sink ships”
Or so the saying goes
Why I ever used this word,
Heaven only knows.
I used it to describe my friend
A label he didn’t deserve
He probably wants to say to me
Boy, you got some nerve!
Enigma is the word I used
In the future I’ll be more wary
So I take my foot out of my mouth
And apologize to Larry!
(dedicated to my friend Larry Belt)
