Lanterns of Nigh

Enlightenment literally shone following shadows in the dark with
steps of captivating brightness 
towering above us like a spot light 
following intelligence, 
Significantly radiant energy 

I proceed with a luminous glow
To the right my eyes are twinkling
with at least two stars in the horizon right above the street lights 
lantering the quiet cold boulevard,
Relatively vivid

Continuing to the left
my captivated sight beholds a
storm rolling in, surely 
within the next few seconds
the smell of rain I find
Intoxicating nonetheless 

Each drop of rain 
radiated beautifully
like diamonds plummeting 
from the atmosphere 
falling gracefully, 
Astonishing perception

So cold and quiet
this night was before 
sceneries rescinded
my intelligence,
Intellectual intelligence 
Enlightenment
