Lanikai

Under lavender skies We walk twilit dunes; Made by wading tides As we sang our tune. Tradewinds would blow On our usual course. Making kayakers row With much strength and force. The air seasoned with salt Making the moment serene. There’s nothing to fault In this passing scene. Heavenly sea allures Happiness from our core. But will our happiness endure Once we leave this lovely shore?

I enjoyed this Theodore. What would our islands be without the blessed trades? Lanikai...heavenly sea...it is one of our most beautiful beaches, if not thee best! This poem surrenders its beauty and romance so lovely! A warm welcome to Poetry Soup. So nice to meet you through your poetry. Aloha, Connie : )

Connie, thank you so much for your compliment. I am thrilled to meet you; finally someone from Hawaii. I have read many of your works and they are amazing.
