Lanikai
Under lavender skies
We walk twilit dunes;
Made by wading tides
As we sang our tune.
Tradewinds would blow
On our usual course.
Making kayakers row
With much strength and force.
The air seasoned with salt
Making the moment serene.
There’s nothing to fault
In this passing scene.
Heavenly sea allures
Happiness from our core.
But will our happiness endure
Once we leave this lovely shore?
