LANDSCAPES

CAMILLE PISSARO (Tanka)

as with p. cezanne
trees are very important
they are living things
and    more alive than mere plants
occupy important space

the trees all tangled
in one of his winter scenes
form spectral shadows
houses stand in stark relief
just a red roof for comfort


LOVERS (Haiku)

two lovers seated
a corner of the garden
verdant explosion
