Landmine

Landmine

The struggle I face
Living life at a high pace
Fading faster without a trace
Falling from grace
Last place
The void within
Has me loving the sin
The story of my life where do I begin
The downfall hard to explain
Sustain the wall before they crumble
In vain
I stumble at the mess that was me
I bleed slowly
Pouring out my soul
Half the man you may have known
Future bleak
While my heart gently weeps
As this pill slowly creeps in
The haze
I blaze these words to showcase
The phase I am in
Eggshell walking
Stepping on cracks breaking backs
The penny tossed in the wishing well
Tossed back
A return to sender note attached
Outcome hatched
No match for the things to come
Relief is needed
The torture of your ways
Destroys what is left
Of the man who pens theses words
Cutting through like sword in battle
My mind is rattled
Answers I search I can not find
Standing on life’s landmine
BOOM
Its over!
