Land of Make Believe
I'm up all day
can't sleep at night
maybe I'm wrong
or maybe I'm right
I'm seeking truth
but all I can find
are only the truths
that are in my mind.
Is it all real
or is it all lies?
I guess in the end
it's what everyone buys.
Is there hope at all
because I can't see
is there hope for you
is there hope for me?
The world's in a spin
when will it end
who is a foe
and who is a friend?
The voices all say
the things that they must
but are these voices
ones I can trust?
The words that they say
I hear in my brain
are they for real
or am I insane?
'Cause I'm hearing things
that never were said
who killed the truth
who wanted it dead?
I guess in the end
it's what you conceive
about what is truth
and what's make believe.
