Land Ahoy

Land ahoy there, ahoy, and a whoop-de-do By Jove, I've discovered a new planet or two That passing asteroid shower really empowered My imagination, more vivid by the hour... They call me 'old-timer,' 'cos I wear a bow-tie Smoke a pipe in plush slippers, eat sauerkraut on rye But I'll show my flight crew a trick, one-three-four Ha, ha: Now they're locked out of the space capsule's door So down I go on my own to Planets X, Y and Z I'll be busy with measurements as a buzzing bee While they're stuck in the rocket, no doubt fuming mad At all the recognition that's mine that they wish that they had Ah yes, Mr. President, Sir. I know what I've found will cause a grand stir But please give a nod to those lads in the rocket And greet them back on Earth, if they can figure out how to dock it
