Lamentations of An Idealistic Individual

I'm dreaming of a better tomorrow With brighter days and more smiles I'm dreaming of a place without sorrow Where there are no more trials I am hoping daily for the people everywhere To reach out and help someone in need I am praying steadfastly for everlasting care From all nations united to plant the seed Of peace, love, and understanding to everyone And that no more tears or blood will be shed And all people from corner to corner are no longer alone And don't wind up in wars which leaves innocence dead I'm closing my eyes and seeing a place full of joy Where there are no prejudices and hate I'm dreaming of a world for every girl and boy Born of the next generation that is great I may do the dreaming but there are others just like me Who want the same things for our youth Let us stop dreaming and work on making it a reality And let us all work together to beautify the earth
