Lament On a Hill

Lament on a Hill Theres a shadow on a hill, Under an inky black sky A tear in a curtain, As the old passes away Faces etched in pain, As a fiddler plays a sad refrain. Lament on a rain soaked hill Slowly and quietly played For a dream seemingly dead On a far forgotten hill. To bring a dream of freedom From perditions heavy yoke Words of salvation and grace From a voice softly spoke Salt water from deep blue eyes With a message for the wise. Lament on a rain soaked hill On a fiddle made of ancient oak By fingers young and nimble On a far forgotten hill. Andrew McIntyre .
