Lamb To The Slaughter

He humbly accepted to lay down his life To put an end to the enmity and strife. This was the Father’s will, So that the sacrifice would serve as a seal. He was a lamb taken to the slaughter, To redeem and reconcile us when we falter. He was meant to be a rising light, One that would tunnel through the recalcitrant night. He understood the mess and nonsense that plagued us, Leading us to the abyss of loss. He laid down His life to deliver us from their works, Freeing our hearts from the chains and stocks. There was an eerie presence that ruled on the inside, While it loomed heavily on the outside. He walked the road to the slaughter to free us from its power, So that we could stand upon redemption tower.
