Lady Moon

I walked under the gentle snow
Watching as each snowflake fell
Becoming colorful under the midnights glow .
The smell of hot chocolate filled the air , bringing feelings of a time old friends and I would share .
I carried on gazing upon the moon
Hoping that eventually it would lead me to you soon .
My heart filled with terror and delight , happy that you're again in my life but my heart trembles as old feelings have been re-imagined. I fear that my undying passion will take over me and then you too will fade away like the lady of the moon,
and I..
I will be left walking alone on that late afternoon , wondering if you'll ever feel the same as I feel about you.

Well-expressed as a poem about securing your Beloved. We all identify, as we were in love, but not secure in the Beloved just yet ... this poem captures both sides well. I got the sense you immigrated from the Caribbean to more snowy climes (US or Canada). Congrats. Anil Sook Deo (Thanks for reading one of my poems).
