Lady Enigma

Only what she wants you to see she will reveal.
Her dark side is something this woman wants to conceal.
What you see in the present does not seem to have a past.
Many men have known her, but each affair did not last.
Those fools did not seem to fulfill her need.
She could carelessly cut them and leave them to bleed.
Her past has closed each door and window.
Did this woman reincarnate from a black widow?
The mystery cannot be solved. There is nobody who would know.
Looking for her next victim, this specter continues to go.

Robert, this seems to be the antithesis of your last poem. Very clever showing us both sides and the risks we take in new relationships. The last poem I posted was a collaboration -- I only wrote part of it. It was for the collaboration contest. That's why it reads differently from most of my work. Thanks for reading and sharing this "enigma" with me. I feel men are enigmas -- guess it goes both ways. Love, Carolyn
