Lacuna

Wherefore? It’s as though my Earth must tremble Chilled When I go to call your name. When I go to answer. Known to me, This is. When I miss you, I become frightful, Because I miss you. Hadst I been afar from your presence One moment Too long Too sour I endure, But I cease to breathe. Yet my breath is long and wispy. Like the air of night An autumn night Let the leaves not fall Let the leaves not fall When I go to call your name. Though I have been afar My heart is so stricken with you And I Am near.
