Labyrinth
I’m in a maze of broken minds
Quietly searching for my heart
This labyrinth has taken all I’ve found
It will take me too if I can’t find the start
My fears have summoned a deadly beast
I have to run through broken glass
I hide in a shadow that drains my will
But in the dark the beast has passed
I cast aside my scarlet tears
I let the shade relieve my strength
I hold to the vines of forsaken love
And then I forget the time that’s spent
A sudden breeze opens my scars
It whispers of things that I betray
Now this broken child must wake
So I remove the glass and crawl away
The beast can feel the second chance
It travels the winds to catch my scent
Savouring blood that I have lost
It travels the labyrinth to the end
I’ve learnt to walk upon my pain
I’ve circled the maze but found no heart
But in the centre I found my will
Also a map that leads me to the start
Do I still know how to be human?
Will I leave with the beast or with my heart?
Why can’t I recall the things beyond?
The map says the end, so is it really the start?
