L I a R
If I said that I was honest,
Then I would not tell wrong.
I told you everything of mine,
And simply went along.
You weaved a path for me to see,
The golden silk, it blinded me.
You trapped me inside all your lies,
The innocence of sky blue eyes.
But wiser I was made right then,
And now when you say them again,
I'll not let my heart trust deceit,
Instead, I'll stand firmly on my feet.
So liar, dearest, hear my words:
I will not sing with mocking birds.
I am my own, in truth and light,
And to you sir, I bid goodnight.
