Each day I watch you change,
a little at a time
Handsome and intelligent
this brilliant son of mine
Unbelievably you grow
with every passing day
Absorbing wonders all around
I know you'll find your way
No doubt you'll be successful
It shines in you like gold
A queen I was 
to have you son
A gift from God to hold
No mother could be prouder
Or as blessed as I have been
I'm sure no matter what
You'll always be my friend
All my hopes and dreams
for life to you be kind
Always let the light in you
be unafraid to shine
How wonderful to have a son 
as precious as is mine

I lost one of my sons to illness, Gary, when he was 13 many years ago. So thank you for reminding others how precious their children and family members are because we never know how much time we have left with them.
