Adapted Quote: We can never be so lost that angels can't find us, but make certain it's the right angel.

Entry for Mystic Rose Rose's Contest

Angels are almost silent Subtle treadbare steppers subliminal stalkers determinedly quiet except at choir a pair of cherubic hums can equivalate to the drones of a billion bees. Can you separate the noises of bouncing sparrows on wet sands, from belly-down thin-skinned slitherers roaming in beds of grass - obscenely dense, from burglarizing ants at a picnic party? Angels are seen since they come to visit. Unannounced, but friendly faces beaconing like lighthouses. Their halogen coronets fulgurate and exorcise diabolical agency. Other angels may be noticed. An invasive host shod in threatening boots dangling peace and safety but entangling angles strangle. Hopes course in descension: brambles boulders ports of fire.

Dear Trina, your technical and creative use of vivid imagery, rich metaphors and duality stirs my imagination to new heights and profound depths. I adore your adapted quote and your amazing use of good and evil alive in light and dark forces. I especially adored "treadbare steppers" juxtaposed with "thin-skinned slitherers" - but truly I adore your whole poem. A rich, deep piece of creative writing, my poet friend. Congratulations for your success in Rose's contest. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Thank you, Susan. It's one of my favorite pieces for the year so far. The prompt resonated with me deeply. We've all encountered angels in disguise. I know I have met a few. Had it not been for God's grace and better angels, I'm not sure I would even be here. I'm thankful.

Thank you for joining my contest. It isn't easy writing about Angels. You all took it to a new level of consciousness for me. Each entry dove me closer to the thought that Angels exist. You are all winners in my book, grateful for all your efforts. May God bless your beautiful hearts, each and every one of you Love, Mystic
