SECOND  PLACE

Is my life getting knotty! Which was once simple and fun! Love came like blue ocean-waves, lapping on my heart! When your thoughts aglow in mind, Shine...flicker of a moment, Hundreds of bright sunflowers Blossom in my dream! I utter a gasp...oh no! My heart was never missing, I left it in a safe place, With you, for ever!

Dear sweet Mala, many congratulations my dear friend with your well deserved win. What a beautiful, inspiring Dodoitsu as I’ve never tried this form before. Such gorgeous lines,’ Love came like blue ocean - waves’ ‘ Hundreds of bright sunflowers’. Vivid imagery. The last verse is absolutely delightful- giving and leaving your heart in a safe place with the one you love.So lovely. A real pleasure to read my lovely, talented friend. Well done! Love and hugs to you xx

Dear Christina, Such a delight to see you visit my page and comment. This is the first time I am trying "Dodoitsu" - and it's matching my feelings right now. There are times when you want to write a long poem, and there are times when you feel - a few lines are enough to pour your heart. Dear Poetess, you are the talented poet, and I am trying to learn from the gifted poets at this site! Love ~ Mala

Thank you, Dear Friend. Due to some other writing commitments in my home-language, I am a bit behind in replying to comments - I am very sorry. Have a great weekend, Paula.

a delightful Dodoitsu, Mala. I share your sentiments. When I first married my hubby, Bill, I thought I'd lost my heart for a while...then I realized I'd given it to Bill and it was in a safe place. I love your poetic style and will be reading more of your work. Thanks for 'following me.' My husband speaks highly of you. Have a pleasant evening there in Canada. Blessings, Sara

Dear Sara, so pleased to read your comment - and feel so delighted to know you feel the same sentiments of my poem. Your husband, Bill, is a wonderful person, and friend - I have to say, both of you are so lucky to find each other - this does not happen often! I am also humbled that you like my poetic style, and Bill speaks "highly of me"! What an incredible honour for me, Sara! Do I really deserve such a compliment? I will be following both of you, too! Love ~ Mala

Thank you, Debjani. Do you remember the poem we collaborated on? The same theme comes back to mind.
