Knob
I held on to the knob, too nervous to go into the room I had just unlocked. After a little while, I backed off and returned to my writing desk. My cat's basket (in the locked room) would give me too many memories. I had looked after Silky for years and couldn't bear the thought of my first day without her. She liked to do tricks - would jump up repeatedly to the knob if the radio was broadcasting a catchy tune. I went back to that knob later, and this time turned it; went in to dismantle the basket, and reflect.
