Kitty Claws

The crimson sky plays host to cawing birds
alightening upon a silken branch
below an emerald garden hose
is dripping out a symphony of words

Two animals enjoy this evening breeze
a furry one with pointed kitty claws
beside a taller one who writes and sighs
while the sun falls lazily
