Kite Flying

Now the winds are here
I can fly my kite.
I'll sail it through the night
to touch stars of the air.

Above all, over fears
paper dreams shall sizzle in flight.
Now the winds are here
I can fly my kite.

Skillful as I steer
Must avoid doubt, tall trees, streetlights ...
that dreams aren't torn and don't rapidly alight,
inviting sour tears.
Now the winds are here.

Thanks, Sara. I appreciate you :) When I joined PS a few months ago, you were one of the first sponsors to consider any of my writing seriously.
