Kite

Kite

A plastic colored bird,
waltzing in the sky,
tethered to, but looking down upon,
a boy.

Kite

A plastic colored bird,
waltzing in the sky,
looking like, but looking down upon,
his mates.

Kite

A plastic colored bird,
tangos with his mates,
circles in the sky,
up, down, up,
guided by,
careful hands.

Kite

A plastic colored bird,
ripples through the sky,
crashes into sand,
plunk, thud, splat,
brought down by,
careless hands.

Boy,

looking up upon,
tethered to,
waltzing in the sky,
a plastic colored bird,
a kite.

Comments: At Ocean City, Maryland, stunt kites amazed me with their acrobatics. Kites are no longer boring. Kites are cool. FEEDBACK WELCOME.

Nice bit of repetition with a nice shift at the end...

i like the repeat of this "A plastic colored bird, waltzing in the sky" - it is a friendly, happy, tribute poem which seems to give the kite a distinct personality, Noel. Nice!
