You never hit me but you still left wounds Wounds that lasted longer than you stuck around Cuts that bled for months A heart that took years to heal was all I was left with But somebody came around and started patching me up He put bandaids on all of my scrapes and cuts He kissed each tear away He asked to see all of me And unlike you he didn’t just mean naked.
