Kissed By the Universe

The night embraces me
He is my faithful lover
He caresses my sleepless soul
With tender silvery fingers
My heart finds comfort
In his velvety indigo warmth
Sending the light of Venus to my window
He is a graceful, devoted lover
Soothing my mind in the galaxy
And brilliance of the Milky Way
His glorious Pleiades cluster
Glide me fluidly thru Neptune
The God water of the sea
Bathing my heart in aqueous vapors
He smoothly floats my soul to Jupiter
Flying me thru the glorious myriad of stars
Passing by the splendor of the halcyon moon
             On my way…
Into the kingdom of slumber

If you can’t go to sleep my dear friend
Peacefully blend your restless heart
In the comforting glow of the galaxy
Allow it to be cradled and buttressed
In the peaceful arms of the Universe
