Kiss It Goodnight

     The cat’s curled up
       the dog’s dreaming deep
     The parakeet’s quiet
from the mouse not a peep

     Kids tucked away
       so early, half past eight
     Some champagne for you, darling
       I barely can wait...

     No thanks, not tonight dear
       I know how this appears
and I know it sounds mean
But oral surgery is rarely foreseen

Cozy setup, romantic vibe—then a hilarious twist. Real life (and oral surgery) strikes again. Clever and super relatable.
