Kingdom of Beauty

Leaves of gold and bronze,
Fill the palace in half,
And flowers with alluring scents,
Fill the other half.

Ruled by a Queen with an iron fist,
Her eyes alight with a playful glint,
She likes to play with people’s souls,
And tows them along wherever she goes.

While deathly pale coats her skin,
Her beauty remains dangerously lethal.
The night warriors at her bell,
The moon’s followers wait for her call.

While angels and demons may fight a war,
The victory and glory will always be hers.
If death and darkness befall her kingdom,
She will riot with hell’s fire.

Burning everything that stands in her way,
She wears a dress made of silken ash,
And will then smile a dagger sharp smile,
For she is the venomous Queen of ice.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
